Guru Tsokye Dorje with the King Trisong Detsen and Santaraksita

Guru Tsokye Dorje, one of the eight principal manifestations of Padmasambhava, stands at the heart of Vajrayana Buddhism as an enlightened master who embodies profound wisdom and meditative insight. Honored in a sacred triad with Abbot Shantarakshita and Tibetan King Trisong Detsen, this revered union represents the foundation of Tibetan Buddhism—spiritual realization, scholarly guidance, and devoted patronage. Together, this sacred trio expresses the harmony that allowed Vajrayana Buddhism to flourish in Tibet.
