Manjushri Statue, Introduction

Manjushri is often depicted in a seated posture, typically in the lotus position on a lotus base. The lotus symbolizes purity and enlightenment, growing untainted from muddy waters, akin to how wisdom can arise from within the complexities of worldly life.  His right hand helds the sword that represents the sharp, penetrating nature of wisdom that cuts through ignorance and delusion. His left hand holds a book resting on a lotus.
