Crafted from high-quality copper and polished through a traditional fire gilding process that blends gold and mercury, leaving behind a radiant layer of pure gold. Seated gracefully on a lotus seat, Amitayus holds a kalash, or nectar vase, symbolizing the elixir of immortality and the blessings of longevity. The lotus seat represents spiritual purity and detachment, while Amitayus’s serene expression and meditative posture evoke deep tranquility and inner awakening.

Consecration Process & Service

The statue includes a hollow chamber designed to hold rolled mantras, sacred relics, incense, herbal powders, and fragrant wood. During consecration, these are carefully filled and blessed through ritual prayers by qualified monks, making the statue spiritually complete and ready for your altar. A fee will be charged for this service, which is respectfully donated to the lamas performing the rituals.

Amitayus

Amitayus is a revered Buddha in Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism who embodies infinite life and spiritual vitality, and he is especially associated with practices that promote longevity, health, and inner wisdom. He is considered a sambhogakaya aspect of Amitabha Buddha, and while Amitabha represents infinite light, Amitayus represents infinite life, which makes him a central figure in long-life meditations and rituals. Depicted in radiant red and adorned with a crown and jewels, Amitayus sits in meditative posture while holding a long-life vase filled with the nectar of immortality, which symbolizes his power to overcome untimely death and disease. Devotees chant his mantra, “Om Amarani Jiwantiye Soha,” to invoke his blessings and cultivate vitality, clarity, and spiritual strength.
