Awaken the gentle power of universal compassion in your sacred space with this Avalokiteshvara Chenrezig Statue, a sacred Himalayan sculpture that embodies mercy, loving kindness, and enlightened presence. Handcrafted in Nepal from copper using the traditional lost wax technique, this spiritually expressive form is created by skilled artisans of Patan and finished with a rich chemical oxidation that gives the statue a timeless, antique depth. Chenrezig, the Bodhisattva of Compassion, is depicted with four arms symbolizing his boundless ability to aid all beings, holding a crystal rosary that represents continuous compassionate activity, a lotus that signifies purity rising above suffering. Masterful Craftsmanship: The Back View

The rear of this Chenrezig statue reveals the full mastery of Newari artisanship — a testament that sacred art is complete in every dimension. The deeply chased lotus throne base wraps around with layered petal reliefs and dragon motifs, each scale hand-tooled with precision. Rising above, the ornate waistband is encrusted with a central gemstone cabochon flanked by symmetrical floral scrollwork. The four arms emerge gracefully from the back, with the upper-left hand holding a crystal mala (rosary) and the upper-right cradling a lotus blossom — both rendered with fine wire-thin detail. The lapis-blue ushnisha (crown protrusion) is crowned with a flame finial, its surface painted in rich mineral pigment. Flanking the crown, vivid red coral-toned flame aureoles and auspicious cloud scrolls frame the halo, hand-cut and individually applied. The oxidized copper body carries a warm, aged patina that deepens every engraved line — making the back as devotionally rich as the front.

Consecration Process & Service

The statue includes a hollow chamber designed to hold rolled mantras, sacred relics, incense, herbal powders, and fragrant wood. During consecration, these are carefully filled and blessed through ritual prayers by qualified monks, making the statue spiritually complete and ready for your altar. A fee will be charged for this service, which is respectfully donated to the lamas performing the rituals.

Please note: Once consecrated, each statue becomes a sacred object and part of your spiritual journey. As such, it cannot be returned or refunded after this special blessing.

Chenrezig

Chenrezig(Avalokiteshvara), revered as the "Lord of Universal Compassion," is a celestial Bodhisattva in Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism who personifies the infinite radiance of enlightened love. According to sacred texts, he embodies the perfection of unconditional compassion, holding the wish-fulfilling gem that alleviates all suffering. His luminous white form represents the purity of selfless devotion that embraces every being with mercy. His teachings manifest through the sacred mantra "Om Mani Padme Hum," which devotees chant to invoke protection, healing, and the awakening of loving-kindness. As the heart of all Buddhas' compassion, Chenrezig represents the Buddhist truth that boundless empathy liberates the soul.
