Green Tara

Green Tara, known as Syamatara in Sanskrit, is one of the most beloved deities in Tibetan Buddhism. She is considered the embodiment of active compassion, always ready to offer protection, guidance, and swift assistance to those in distress. Green Tara is often called the "Mother of All Buddhas" and is believed to have been born from the compassionate tears of Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of Compassion.

She is usually depicted seated in a graceful posture with one leg extended, symbolizing her readiness to rise and help all sentient beings. Her right hand forms the varada mudra, the gesture of giving and compassion, while her left hand holds a blue lotus (utpala), representing purity, wisdom, and enlightenment. Surrounding her image are typically flowing silks, intricate ornaments, and a calm, inviting expression that radiates peace and strength.
