Shop Buddha Shakyamuni Statue for Mindfulness and Wisdom | Nepalese Masterpiece

Buddha Shakyamuni Statue is meticulously hand-carved by a master artisan from Nepal using the traditional lost-wax casting method. Devotees pray to Buddha Shakyamuni as the historical Buddha who attained enlightenment and showed the path to liberation. Crafted from high-quality copper, the statue is polished with pure 24k gold mixed with mercury in a time-honored gold amalgam process. It is then fired to evaporate the mercury, leaving behind a durable and radiant layer of 24k fire gold gilding on the copper base.

The Buddha Shakyamuni statue features a beautifully detailed halo behind Buddha Shakyamuni’s head, symbolizing his enlightened wisdom, along with intricate designs adorning his serene body. Designed with a hollow chamber for consecration, this sacred piece allows devotees to insert mantras or relics to spiritually empower it.

Shakyamuni Buddha

Shakyamuni Buddha, also known as Siddhartha Gautama, was the historical founder of Buddhism and one of the most influential spiritual figures in human history. He was born around the 5th or 6th century BCE in Lumbini, in present-day Nepal, into a royal family of the Shakya clan—hence the name Shakyamuni, meaning “Sage of the Shakyas”.

Despite being raised in luxury and shielded from the harsh realities of life, Siddhartha encountered suffering in the form of old age, illness, and death during rare excursions outside the palace. These experiences deeply unsettled him and sparked a profound spiritual quest. At the age of 29, he renounced his princely life and embarked on a journey to understand the nature of suffering and the path to liberation.
