Statue of Shakyamuni Buddha | Traditional Himalayan Buddhist Art

Invite the timeless presence with this Shakyamuni Buddha Statue, seated serenely upon an ornate lotus throne. Hand-sculpted by master artisans in the traditional Patan style, this sacred Shakyamuni Buddha statue is cast in copper and finished with 24K gold fire-gilding, an ancient Himalayan technique that creates a radiant and enduring luminous surface.

Shakyamuni Buddha rests upon a richly detailed throne with an elaborate halo and tiered base, inlaid with natural turquoise and coral stones following classical Tibetan-Newari iconographic traditions. The right hand is shown in the earth-touching Bhumisparsha Mudra, symbolizing the moment of enlightenment and spiritual awakening, while the left hand gently holds a begging bowl, representing renunciation and the disciplined monastic path of the Buddha. Intricate repoussé scrollwork and finely detailed beaded borders adorn every surface, reflecting exceptional devotional craftsmanship and the refined artistry of Himalayan sacred sculpture, designed to embody spiritual presence and timeless Buddhist heritage.
