Mandarava

Mandarava, a revered Dakini and one of the two principal consorts of Guru Padmasambhava, was a princess of Zahor who renounced her royal life to pursue deep spiritual practice. Despite facing opposition from her father, who sentenced her to death for choosing the Dharma, she remained steadfast in her devotion. Rescued by Guru Rinpoche, she underwent intense meditation and, through his teachings, attained the rainbow body, a state of complete spiritual realization. Together, they journeyed to the sacred Maratika Cave, where they engaged in long-life practices and achieved the siddhi of immortality. Mandarava is venerated as a symbol of unwavering faith, wisdom, and transformation, inspiring practitioners to cultivate inner strength and enlightenment beyond worldly limitations.
