Tsokye Dorje

Tsokye Dorje, also known as Guru Tsokye Dorje or "Lake-born Vajra," is one of the Eight Manifestations of Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava), the revered tantric master credited with bringing Buddhism to Tibet. He is said to have miraculously appeared as an eight-year-old child from a lotus in Lake Dhanakosha in the land of Oddiyana, born from the blessings of Buddha Amitabha and the syllable HRIH. This peaceful form of Guru Rinpoche symbolizes the union of compassion and wisdom, often depicted holding a vajra at his heart and accompanied by his consorts Yeshe Tsogyal and Mandarava. Tsokye Dorje embodies the essence of enlightened awareness and is invoked for spiritual transformation, protection, and the removal of obstacles on the path to awakening.
