Green Tara

Green Tara, the beloved female Buddha of compassion and swift action in Tibetan Buddhism, is revered as a liberating goddess who embodies enlightened vitality and protection. Emerging from Avalokiteshvara's compassionate tear, she is depicted in a graceful half-seated posture on a lotus throne, her vibrant green hue symbolizing active wisdom and her right hand in the Varada mudra (gesture of granting blessings) offering solace to all beings. Devotees invoke Green Tara through her sacred mantra "Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha" for immediate relief from fears, obstacle removal, and spiritual awakening, honoring her as both a divine mother and a fearless protector in Vajrayana practice. Her presence inspires courage, healing energy, and the quick fulfillment of virtuous wishes, making her an essential deity for altars, meditation, and daily spiritual practice.
