Green Tara

Green Tara is a revered female bodhisattva in Tibetan Buddhism who embodies swift compassion and fearless action. She is known as the “Mother of Liberation” and is believed to protect beings from physical and spiritual dangers while guiding them toward enlightenment. Her green color symbolizes active compassion and her readiness to help those in need. She is often depicted seated with one leg folded and the other extended, showing her willingness to spring into action. In her left hand, she holds a blue lotus that represents purity and wisdom, while her right hand is extended in a gesture of giving and protection. Practitioners chant her mantra “Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha” to invoke her blessings for healing, courage, and removal of obstacles.
