Jowo Rinpoche With Throne | Tibetan Buddhist Statue for Spiritual Practice

Invite the blessings of enlightenment with this Jowo Rinpoche with Throne statue, a revered representation of the Historical Buddha. Expertly crafted from copper alloy using the lost-wax method, the statue displays extraordinary attention to detail through its gold-painted face, richly engraved monastic robes and gold fire-gilded finish. Seated serenely upon a lotus seat, Jowo Rinpoche is portrayed in Bhumisparsha Mudra, with the right hand touching the earth to witness enlightenment while the left hand gently holds a begging bowl. Adorned with a five-jeweled crown, ornate earrings, an elaborate necklace and carefully set semi-precious stones, the sculpture embodies both sacred devotion and the refined artistry.

Elevated upon a handcrafted throne, the sacred figure is further enhanced by a stunning architectural setting. Shaped from copper with gold-gilded accents and acrylic finishes, the throne is adorned with intricate carvings of sacred attendants, mythical creatures, divine musicians, noble animals, and auspicious Vishva Vajra motifs arranged in harmonious symmetry. A magnificent arched back filled with flourishing lotus motifs and crowned by a celestial guardian creates a radiant halo-like frame around the Buddha, emphasizing his enlightened presence. Ideal for Buddhist altars, meditation rooms and distinguished collections of sacred art.

About Jowo Rinpoche

Jowo Rinpoche is regarded as one of the most sacred and revered statues in Tibetan Buddhism. Believed to be blessed by Shakyamuni Buddha himself, this holy image represents the Buddha in his youthful form shortly after attaining enlightenment. Housed in the Jokhang Temple in Lhasa, Tibet, the original statue is considered the spiritual nucleus of Tibetan Buddhist devotion. This revered figure was said to be crafted during the Buddha’s own lifetime and later brought to Tibet by Princess Wencheng of the Tang Dynasty, symbolizing the merging of Indian and Chinese Buddhist traditions. The Jowo Rinpoche statue radiates divine serenity and embodies the enlightened essence of the historical Buddha, offering deep spiritual inspiration. Its peaceful expression and signature mudras (hand gestures) reflect profound teachings of compassion, inner peace, mindfulness, and the path to liberation from suffering.
