Green Tara Statue for Meditation | Tibetan Symbol of Protection & Compassion

Behold this monumental Green Tara statue, masterfully handcrafted in Nepal using the ancient lost-wax technique and shaped from solid copper. Standing at an impressive 51.5 cm tall and weighing 14.90 kg, every inch of this large-format statue radiates divine presence. The entire figure is finished in multiple layers of fire-gilding, producing a luminous gold surface that breathes life into Tara's graceful form.

Her serene face is delicately hand-painted using pure gold pigment, capturing her timeless expression of compassion. The ornate silver-plated crown and jewelry features an intricately filigree-worked and set with semi-precious stones framing her countenance with regal elegance. Green Tara is seated in lalitasana with her right hand extended in varada mudra and her left hand raised in vitarka mudra, holding the stem of the sacred utpala lotus.

The double-layared pedestal is richly embellished with turquoise and detailed relief carvings, reflecting the highest standards of Newari craftsmanship passed down through generations. Whether installed as a monastery focal statue or a statement of sacred art in a healing or wellness space, transforming any environment into a sanctuary of protection and awakening.

About Green Tara

Green Tara, also known as the "Mother Tara & Swift Liberator," is a revered celestial Buddha in Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism, embodying the active energy of enlightened compassion. According to sacred texts, she manifested from a tear of Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of Infinite Compassion, taking a vow to alleviate suffering and protect beings from all fears. Her radiant green form represents the vibrant flowering of wisdom and compassionate action in the world. Her teachings emphasize immediate response to suffering through the powerful Green Tara mantra "Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha", which devotees chant to invoke her blessings of protection, courage, and liberation from obstacles.
