Green Tara

Green Tara is a beloved female bodhisattva and enlightened deity in Tibetan Buddhism, known as the "Mother of Liberation" and the embodiment of swift compassion and active protection. She is said to have emerged from the tears of Avalokiteshvara, the bodhisattva of compassion, to assist beings in overcoming fear and obstacles. Green Tara is depicted as youthful and radiant, seated in a posture of readiness, with her right leg extended to symbolize her willingness to spring into action to help those in need. Her green color represents vitality and enlightened activity, and she is often shown with a lotus flower, signifying purity and spiritual awakening. Practitioners invoke her through prayers and the mantra Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha to receive her blessings of courage, healing, and swift assistance in times of distress.
