Guru Rinpoche

Guru Rinpoche, also known as Padmasambhava or the Lotus-Born Buddha (Pema Jungné), is revered as the Second Buddha (Tönpa Gyalwa) in Vajrayana Buddhism. He is the Precious Guru who firmly established the sacred Dharma in Tibet, ensuring the spread and preservation of the Secret Mantra Vajrayana tradition. Invited by King Trisong Detsen during the 8th century, Guru Rinpoche of Uddiyana (Orgyen Pema Jungné) manifested miraculous powers, subjugating obstacles—both worldly and spiritual—that hindered the rise of Buddhism in the Land of Snow. His divine arrival was foretold by Buddha Shakyamuni himself in the Mahaparinirvana Sutra, a treasured scripture containing the Buddha's final teachings, highlighting Guru Rinpoche’s pivotal role in the enlightenment of future generations.
