Honored Oracle Protector Nechung Chogyong Statue | Buddhist Guardian Masterpiece Sculpture

Channel a sense of powerful protection with our Protector Nechung Chuyong Statue, meticulously crafted using the traditional lost wax casting technique that allows for intricate details to be captured with precision. The Nechung Chuyön statue features a gold fire-gilded body on a sturdy copper alloy, creating a luminous shine with deep texture and contrast that highlights every curve. Semi-precious stone inlays enrich key ornaments and sacred elements. Together, these features create a visually striking and spiritually charged presence, making this statue a meaningful focal point for an altar or meditation space.

This Nechung Chuyong statue presents the revered Dharma protector in dynamic, symbolic detail. The form is crowned with an intricately carved skull crown topped with a Gdugs and complemented by elaborately carved earrings that frame the fierce face. Nechung Chuyong is depicted standing triumphantly on a lotus seat, crushing negative forces beneath the feet to symbolize the subduing of obstacles. The body is adorned with an intricately carved monastic robe, while the gold-gilded face displays a vicious gaze and wrathful expression; red-hued eyebrows and beard contrast strikingly around a prominent third eye on the forehead. A ritual sword is sheathed and secured at the waist, while the hands hold a parasol banner topped with a trident’s triple prong and a lasso, representing the power to cut through ignorance and draw beings toward the path of Dharma.

Nechung Chuyong

Nechung Chuyong is the title for the powerful wrathful spirit Dorje Dragden, the principal Dharma Protector of the Nechung Monastery and the official State Oracle of Tibet. He is not an enlightened Buddha, but an oath-bound guardian tasked with protecting the Dharma and the Tibetan government. Manifesting through a human medium (the kuten), he provides prophecies, political counsel, and spiritual guidance to the Dalai Lamas and the government. His fierce, warrior appearance symbolizes his powerful and compassionate ability to eliminate obstacles and protect the Buddhist path.
