About Medicine Buddha

Medicine Buddha represents Bhaishajyaguru, the Buddha of Healing, who is a significant figure in Mahayana Buddhism and Tibetan traditions. Known as the "Medicine Master," he is often depicted seated in a meditative posture, holding a bowl of healing herbs in one hand and his other hand in a gesture of teaching or reassurance. The Medicine Buddha embodies the qualities of compassion and healing, offering solace to those suffering from physical and mental ailments. The Medicine Buddha's Pure Land, also known as "Amitabha," is believed to be a place of great tranquillity and healing energy. Statues of the Medicine Buddha serve as powerful reminders of the interconnectedness of physical and spiritual well-being.
