24K Fire Gold Gilded Shakyamuni Buddha Statue | Traditional Nepalese Buddhist Icon

Buddha Shakyamuni Statue is a sacred hand-carved spiritual masterpiece created by a skilled master artisan from Nepal using the ancient lost-wax casting method. Crafted from high-quality copper and this statue is finished with a radiant layer of 24k fire-gilded gold, a traditional process where pure gold is blended with mercury in what is known as gold amalgamation. The statue is then fired to evaporate the mercury and leaving behind a long-lasting and lustrous layer of real gold on a copper base also known as 24k fire gold gilded on copper. The statue also features a hollow chamber for consecration which allows practitioners to insert mantras, relics, or other sacred items to enhance spiritual energy. Buddha Shakyamuni, also known as Siddhartha Gautama, is the historical Buddha who attained enlightenment and taught the path to liberation from suffering.

Shakyamuni Buddha

Shakyamuni Buddha, also known as Siddhartha Gautama, was a spiritual teacher whose insights laid the foundation for Buddhism. He was born around the 5th or 6th century BCE in Lumbini, in present-day Nepal, into a royal family of the Shakya clan, hence the name Shakyamuni, meaning “Sage of the Shakyas”.

Despite a life of luxury, Siddhartha was deeply moved by the suffering he witnessed outside the palace walls old age, sickness, and death. These encounters led him to renounce his princely life at the age of 29 in search of a deeper truth. After years of ascetic practices and meditation, he attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree in Bodh Gaya, India, at the age of 35. From that moment, he became known as the Buddha, or “the awakened one”.
