Description

Green Tara Statue in Meditative Posture | Lost-Wax Copper Sculpture

This exquisite Green Tara Statue is masterfully hand-carved by a seasoned artisan from Nepal using the traditional lost-wax casting method, a sacred technique passed down through generations. Seated on a blooming lotus base in a peaceful meditative posture, Green Tara is depicted with a calm and serene expression that radiates compassion and tranquility. Her right-hand rests in varada mudra, the gesture of granting blessings and fearlessness.

This statue is intricately crafted from high-quality copper and finished with a surface polished in a gold amalgam made by blending pure 24k gold with mercury. It then undergoes a high-temperature firing process, which evaporates the mercury and leaves a strong, long-lasting layer of radiant gold known as 24k fire gold gilding on copper. This process not only enhances the statue's durability but also gives it a warm, divine glow that elevates any sacred space.

Please note: The statue in the photograph is the actual piece for sale, ensuring authenticity and exclusivity.

Green Tara

Green Tara is one of the most beloved female deities in Tibetan Buddhism, known as the Mother of Liberation and a swift savior who responds instantly to the cries of suffering beings. She embodies active compassion and enlightened action, always ready to help devotees overcome fear, obstacles, illness, and emotional distress. Green Tara is typically depicted as a youthful goddess seated in a meditative posture on a lotus throne, with her right hand extended in varada mudra, the gesture of giving and protection. Her left hand holds a blue lotus flower (utpala), symbolizing purity, wisdom, and spiritual awakening.
