Shakyamuni Buddha(Siddhartha Gautama)

Siddhartha Gautama, known as Shakyamuni Buddha, was born as the crown prince of the powerful Shakya Kingdom and raised with royal privileges. At around 29 years old, he witnessed the vast suffering of humanity, which inspired him to abandon his luxurious palace life, wealth, and royal status in search of the root cause of suffering and its cure. After more than six years of intense meditation, self-discipline, and deep study, Siddhartha attained enlightenment and became the Buddha, or Shakyamuni Buddha. He famously shared his first teachings at the Deer Park near Varanasi, India (Sarnath), marking the beginning of Buddhism’s path to nirvana and liberation from suffering.
