The statue depicts Gampopa seated in a meditative posture, with his legs crossed in the vajra position (full-lotus posture), symbolizing stability and inner balance. His right hand is raised in the gesture of teaching (vitarka mudra), signifying his role as a transmitter of the profound Dharma, while his left hand rests on his lap in meditative equipoise, holding a vessel representing the elixir of wisdom and healing.
