White Dzambhala

White Dzambhala is a revered wealth deity in Tibetan Buddhism, regarded as an emanation of Avalokiteshvara and embodying prosperity grounded in compassion and ethical intention rather than greed. According to Buddhist tradition, White Dzambhala emerged to relieve beings from poverty and suffering so that spiritual practice could flourish without material obstacles, symbolizing wealth as a support for generosity, wisdom, and Dharma activities. A well-known story recounts that when Avalokiteshvara perceived beings struggling under karmic poverty, White Dzambhala manifested to grant resources aligned with virtuous conduct, teaching that true abundance arises from compassion and right action. Often depicted holding a wish-fulfilling jewel and a mongoose that releases treasures, White Dzambhala represents the continuous flow of wealth through giving, making this deity especially significant in Vajrayana practice where material balance is seen as a foundation for inner realization and enlightened activity.
