White Tara

White Tārā, known as the embodiment of compassion and longevity, is a revered female Buddha in Tibetan Buddhism who represents the peaceful and nurturing aspect of enlightened activity. Devotees chant her mantra, Om Tare Tuttare Ture Mama Ayuh Punya Jñana Pustim Kuru Svaha, to invoke blessings of vitality, merit, and wisdom. She is often visualized as a radiant white figure seated in full lotus posture on a moon disc and lotus throne, symbolizing purity and transcendence. Distinctively, White Tārā has seven eyes—two on her face, one on her forehead, and one on each palm and sole—signifying her vigilant awareness of suffering in all realms of existence. Her practice is associated with healing, long life, and protection from physical and spiritual obstacles.
