Namgyalma

Namgyalma, also known as Ushnishavijaya, is a revered female deity in Tibetan Buddhism associated with long life, purification, and protection from lower rebirths. She belongs to the Kriya Tantra tradition and is one of the three principal longevity deities alongside Amitayus and White Tara. Namgyalma is typically depicted with three faces, white, red, and blue, symbolizing her balanced nature, and eight arms holding various sacred implements that represent her enlightened activities of pacifying, increasing, magnetizing, and subjugating. Her powerful mantra is believed to purify negative karma, extend lifespan, and even liberate beings from suffering simply by being heard. Practitioners invoke Namgyalma to overcome life-threatening illnesses, remove obstacles to spiritual progress, and ensure rebirth in higher realms.
