Description

Traditional Hand-carved Shakyamuni Buddha Statue with Oxidized Throne

Shakyamuni Buddha Statue is masterfully hand-carved by a seasoned artisan from Nepal who follows the traditional lost wax method and brings each sacred detail to life. Devotees pray to Shakyamuni Buddha to receive wisdom, compassion, and guidance on the path to liberation. Crafted from high-quality copper, the statue is polished using a sacred mixture of mercury and twenty-four karat gold that forms a gold amalgam. It then passes through a firing process that evaporates the mercury and leaves a strong, radiant layer of pure gold, creating a rich, twenty-four karat fire gold gilded finish on the body.

The throne is beautifully crafted with oxidized copper and silver-plating finishing, offering a graceful contrast that enhances the spiritual elegance of the piece. Shakyamuni Buddha is seated in a serene meditative posture and features a hollow chamber for consecration where practitioners place mantras or relics to invite divine blessings. He represents the historical Buddha who attained enlightenment and shared the Dharma to help sentient beings overcome suffering and find peace.

Please note: The statue in the photograph is the actual piece for sale, ensuring authenticity and exclusivity.

Shakyamuni Buddha

Shakyamuni Buddha—also known as Siddhartha Gautama—was the historical founder of Buddhism and is revered as the Awakened One. He was born in Lumbini, which is now part of Nepal, and he belonged to the Shakya clan. He lived a luxurious life as a prince until he encountered the realities of aging as well as illness, and death, which inspired him to renounce his royal privileges and seek a spiritual path. At the age of 29, he left the palace and began a journey of self-discovery through ascetic practices and deep meditation. Eventually, he attained enlightenment beneath the Bodhi tree in Bodhgaya when he was 35 years old and became the Buddha. For the next 45 years, he traveled and taught the Dharma, which included the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path, so that he could guide others toward liberation from suffering.
