Je Tsongkhapa Statue | Authentic Nepalese Craftsmanship

This sacred Je Tsongkhapa statue is handmade by skilled Newari artisans in Patan, Nepal, using traditional metal-casting techniques passed down through generations. Crafted from pure copper and finished with gold fire gilding, the statue features a delicately gold-painted face and intricate hand-carved floral motifs throughout.

Je Tsongkhapa is depicted in his classic form, seated in vajra posture atop a lotus pedestal, robed in the ornate monastic dress of a fully ordained monk. Two lotus stalks rise gracefully from his shoulders: the left bearing the flaming Sword of Wisdom, and the right supporting the sacred Prajnaparamita scripture, while his left hand holds a kalash (sacred vase).

Devotees seek Je Tsongkhapa, the revered founder of the Gelug tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, for his embodiment of wisdom, discipline, and scholarly insight. Many practitioners turn to Je Tsongkhapa when seeking guidance in their meditation practice or pursuit of higher knowledge, trusting in his teachings to illuminate the path toward enlightenment. Keeping his statue on a home altar or meditation space is believed to inspire clarity of mind, deepen one's understanding of the dharma, and strengthen one's commitment to spiritual study and ethical conduct.
