Statue Care Guide
- Display with Care: Preserve your statue in a glass cabinet to protect it from dust, moisture, and accidental damage.
- Dusting: Use a soft, clean cotton cloth to gently wipe away dust. Avoid using rough or abrasive materials.
- Minimize Handling: Avoid touching gold-plated statues frequently, as natural oils from your skin can accelerate tarnishing.
- Do Not Scrub: Never use steel wool, metal-bristled brushes, or scrubbing pads. These can scratch and damage delicate surfaces.

The 1000-Armed Avalokiteshvara, known as Sahasrabhuja Avalokiteshvara in Sanskrit and Chenrezig in Tibetan, is a revered embodiment of the Bodhisattva of Compassion in Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism. According to legend, Avalokiteshvara vowed never to rest until he had freed all beings from suffering. Overwhelmed by the immense suffering he witnessed, his body shattered into pieces, but through the blessings of Buddha Amitabha, he was miraculously reborn with a thousand arms and eyes—each hand symbolizing his boundless ability to aid sentient beings. Often depicted with 11 heads to better hear the cries of the world, Avalokiteshvara is a central figure in Tibetan Buddhist practice, with his mantra “Om Mani Padme Hum” widely recited for invoking compassion. An inspiring tale tells of how a great practitioner, during a famine in Tibet, chanted Avalokiteshvara’s name relentlessly, leading to rain and crop recovery—an act attributed to the deity's compassionate response.
