Hayagriva

Hayagriva is a unique and revered deity in both Hindu and Buddhist traditions, depicted with a human body and a horse’s head, symbolizing divine wisdom and strength. In Hindu mythology, Hayagriva is considered an avatar of Lord Vishnu who incarnated to recover the stolen Vedas from demons and restore sacred knowledge to humanity. He is worshipped as the god of wisdom, often portrayed seated on a white lotus, radiating purity and brilliance. In Vajrayana Buddhism, Hayagriva is a wrathful manifestation of Amitabha Buddha and Avalokiteshvara (Chenrezig), embodying fierce compassion and serving as a powerful protector against obstacles and negative forces.
