Vajrapani's primary attribute is the vajra (thunderbolt), which he holds in his right hand close to his heart, symbolizing the indestructible nature of enlightened wisdom. His left hand may hold a lasso or a vajra-tipped staff, representing his ability to bind and subdue obstacles.
