At Chenrezig's heart, his first two hands pressed together signify his solemn vow to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to alleviate the sorrow of all sentient beings. One of Chenrezig's right hands clasping a crystal rosary represents his ability to liberate beings from the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth (Samsara).
