Exceptional Green Tara Statue | Crafted by Nepal’s Living Legends

This Green Tara statue is handcrafted in Nepal by Newari artisans using investment casting techniques passed down through generations. It is cast from copper and painted with vibrant layer of acrylics with radiant gold-gilding that highlights every sculpted contour. Fine hand-carved detailing covers her robes and layered ornaments while the elaborate diadem is set with turquoise and coral stones for extra depth.

Green Tara is seated gracefully in the royal ease pose upon a blooming lotus seat on a moon disc. Her right leg extends downward, resting foot on a lotus as she is ready to rise and answer any call for help. Her right hand forms the gesture of generosity called varada mudra while holding the stem of an utpala flower. Her left hand forms the gesture of protection called abhaya mudra.

Green Tara wears a five-jeweled crown along with layered necklaces and armlets. These adornments represent her perfected enlightened qualities. Her multicolored garment are finely rendered adding movement and regal grace to her form. Together these details capture Green Tara's compassionate and active nature.

Devotees turn to Green Tara during moments of fear and hardship. People invoke her for protection from danger and for courage to face life's obstacles. Many keep her statue on a home altar or meditation space to invite compassion and healing into daily life.

About Green Tara

Green Tara, also known as the "Mother Tara & Swift Liberator," is a revered celestial Buddha in Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism, embodying the active energy of enlightened compassion. According to sacred texts, she manifested from a tear of Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of Infinite Compassion, taking a vow to alleviate suffering and protect beings from all fears. Her radiant green form represents the vibrant flowering of wisdom and compassionate action in the world. Her teachings emphasize immediate response to suffering through the powerful mantra "Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha", which devotees chant to invoke her blessings of protection, courage, and liberation from obstacles.
