Radiating compassion and enlightened action, this Green Tara statue embodies the living legacy of Nepalese devotional art. Handcrafted in Nepal using time-honored Buddhist methods, the sculpture captures Mother Tara in perfect sacred proportion, embodying spiritual reverence and refined artistic mastery.

Cast in copper through the traditional lost-wax casting process, the figure is meticulously shaped and refined by skilled Nepalese artisans. Hand-applied premium acrylic colors create a luminous green complexion that is thangka-accurate and faithful to Tibetan iconographic tradition. Gold-gilding highlights her ornaments and flowing adornments, while carefully inlaid semi-precious stones enrich the surface with ritual depth and visual harmony. Every detail from her serene expression to each symbolic gesture, is patiently finished to honor centuries of Nepalese craftsmanship.

About Green Tara

Green Tara, also known as the "Mother Tara & Swift Liberator," is a revered celestial Buddha in Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism, embodying the active energy of enlightened compassion. According to sacred texts, she manifested from a tear of Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of Infinite Compassion, taking a vow to alleviate suffering and protect beings from all fears. Her radiant green form represents the vibrant flowering of wisdom and compassionate action in the world. Her teachings emphasize immediate response to suffering through the powerful Green Tara mantra"Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha", which devotees chant to invoke her blessings of protection, courage, and liberation from obstacles.
