Masterpiece Tara Triad Statue – Inspired by Kumaradeva's 8th-Century Original | Icon of Compassion & Enlightened Action

This Tara Triad statue is cast in solid copper using the ancient lost wax method, practiced for generations by master Newari artisans of the Kathmandu Valley. The sculpture is then chemically oxidized with an acidic solution to develop its rich patina that protects the copper beneath while giving the piece its bownish finish. Delicate 3d work and hand-chased engravings ping texture and depth to every surface, while carefully set semi-precious stones add subtle color throughout the composition. Every detail reflects the extraordinary skill and devotion behind Nepal's sacred metalwork tradition, making this oxidized copper altarpiece a true collector's piece of Buddhist art.

At the center of a four-sided throne, Bhrikuti is seated upon a lotus, flanked by White Tara and Green Tara standing gracefully on either side. Below, devotees are depicted in postures of quiet reverence, while naga dakini figures is shown offering to divine trio above. The throne itself is guarded by snow lions and framed by an ornate torana gateway adorned with elephants and celestial animals. Crowning the arrangement, the torana rises into three sacred halo Amitabha Buddha at the center, flanked by Vajrapani and Avalokiteshvara, uniting this entire assembly of celestial beings into one harmonious composition.

Crafted as a one-of-a-kind masterpiece with no copies made, this statue is faithfully recreated from the 8th-century original attributed to sculptor Kumaradeva, carrying forward that ancient composition. It stands as a rare devotional centerpiece well suited for dharma centers and sacred altars, an enduring icon of compassion and enlightened action.
