After the statue is cast, it is carefully polished using a traditional blend of 24k gold and mercury. During the final firing process, the mercury evaporates completely, leaving behind a solid layer of pure gold that fuses beautifully to the copper surface, creating a radiant and highly durable finish.

Seated gracefully on a lotus base, the Nagarjuna Buddha signifies the moment of enlightenment, calling the Earth as witness. He is portrayed meditating atop a sacred serpent deity, with a single serpent elegantly rising and forming a protective canopy above his head, symbolizing both divine protection and esoteric knowledge. Nagarjuna Buddha

Nagarjuna was a pioneering Indian Buddhist philosopher of the 2nd–3rd century CE who founded the Madhyamaka school of Mahāyāna Buddhism and is revered as the “Second Buddha” for his profound influence on Buddhist thought.
