Green Tara Statue for Prayer and Meditation | Himalayan Spiritual Artwork

Experience the radiant presence of Green Tara, the revered Bodhisattva of Compassion in this exquisite Himalayan sacred sculpture. A true expression of Newari artistry from Nepal, this piece reflects centuries of refined metal craftsmanship passed through generations of master artisans. Created using the lost-wax casting technique, the statue is formed in copper and elevated through layers of fire-gilding in gold. Every surface reveals intricate hand-carving in three-dimensional detail, while the delicately painted golden face radiates serenity, warmth, and divine grace.

Seated in her graceful royal ease posture, Green Tara rests upon a detailed lotus throne, enriched with symbolic floral carvings and adorned with semi-precious stone inlays. Her ornate crown, set with five precious jewels, reflects her enlightened status, complemented by layered necklaces, elegant earrings and Himalayan-inspired robes decorated with sacred patterns. Her right hand extends outward in the gesture of supreme generosity, while her left hand rests gracefully near her heart, offering a blessing.

Subtle turquoise highlights, refined facial detailing and the richly ornamented throne base further enhance the individuality and sacred depth of this work. Ideal for meditation spaces or personal altars, this Green Tara statue stands as a timeless testament to Nepal’s sacred artistic heritage and the living tradition of Buddhist devotion.

About Green Tara

Green Tara, also known as the "Mother Tara & Swift Liberator," is a revered celestial Buddha in Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism, embodying the active energy of enlightened compassion. According to sacred texts, she manifested from a tear of Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of Infinite Compassion, taking a vow to alleviate suffering and protect beings from all fears. Her radiant green form represents the vibrant flowering of wisdom and compassionate action in the world. Her teachings emphasize immediate response to suffering through the powerful mantra "Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha", which devotees chant to invoke her blessings of protection and liberation from obstacles.
