Suparakirtita Namasri

Suparakirtita Namasri is a highly celebrated Buddha whose full name, Suparikīrtitanāmadheyaśrī, translates to the glorious "One Whose Name is Universally and Eminently Praised," and who is deeply revered in Mahayana and Tibetan Buddhist traditions. He is often listed as one of the Thirty-Five Confession Buddhas (ltung bshags kyi sangs rgyas so lnga), serving as an indispensable focus for the purification of negative karma and the renewal of vows. This Buddha is understood not merely as a historical figure, but as an archetype of perfected enlightenment—an embodiment of the limitless merit and purity that define true Buddhahood, which exists transcendentally beyond linear time and individual biography. The spiritual power associated with his presence and the faithful recitation of his name signifies that this ultimate perfection is accessible to all beings.
