Description

Vajrapani Buddhist Sculpture | Hand-Carved Copper Guardian with Third Eye

Unleash divine protection and fearless energy with this Vajrapani Sculpture, a sacred embodiment of power that is skillfully hand-carved by a master artisan from Nepal who uses the ancient lost-wax method and carefully includes a hollow chamber for consecration. Devotees pray to Vajrapani because they seek protection from inner and outer obstacles and want to cultivate strength, determination, and fearlessness on their path to enlightenment. Crafted with a wrathful expression and a third eye that opens on his forehead to symbolize awakened perception, Vajrapani is also adorned with a fierce halo that radiates unstoppable spiritual force.

The sculpture is made from high-quality copper and is polished using a traditional blend of mercury and 24k gold known as gold amalgam, then fired in a sacred process that evaporates the mercury and leaves a radiant layer of real gold—creating a durable and luminous 24k fire gold gilded finish.

Please note: The statue in the photograph is the actual piece for sale, ensuring authenticity and exclusivity.

Vajrapani

Vajrapani is a powerful bodhisattva in Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism who embodies the spiritual force and protection of all Buddhas. His name means “Holder of the Vajra,” referring to the thunderbolt or diamond scepter he wields—a symbol of indestructible wisdom and fierce compassion. Often depicted in a wrathful form with a muscular body, flaming hair, and a fierce expression, Vajrapani stands as a guardian of the Dharma, ready to subdue ignorance and obstacles on the path to enlightenment. He is one of the earliest protective deities in Buddhist tradition and frequently appears alongside Avalokiteshvara and Manjushri, representing the Buddha’s compassion, wisdom, and power, respectively. Despite his fearsome appearance, Vajrapani’s wrath is directed only at delusion and negativity, making him a compassionate ally for practitioners seeking strength and clarity. His mantra, Om Vajrapani Hum Phat, is chanted to invoke courage, protection, and transformative energy.
