About Lokeshvara

Lokeshvara also called Padmapani means "Holder of the Lotus," is a compassionate manifestation of Avalokiteshvara. He is the revered Bodhisattva in Mahayana Buddhism who chooses to remain within the cycle of rebirth so that he can aid all sentient beings. He is portrayed holding a lotus flower, which symbolizes purity as well as spiritual awakening. His serene expression and graceful posture convey deep empathy and mindfulness. Moreover, Padmapani is richly adorned with divine ornaments, and he appears in iconic works of art including the renowned 5th-century mural in the Ajanta Caves of India, where his gentle presence is shown among devoted followers.
